"Sa pintadera" represents one of the symbols of Sardinia. A terracotta or ceramic jewel with a circular shape. There are several theories about its meaning. Some scholars think it is an astral depiction used as a calendar in Nuragic times. Others, based on the finding of some small bronzes, claim it to be stamps used to decorate bread and textiles. In all likelihood the two theories may also be compatible.
"Su coccu" according to Sardinian tradition represents a real good luck amulet. Formerly made of obsidian, now made of onyx, it is said to have the power to absorb all sorts of negativity and hold it inside until, once saturated, the stone cracks.
