The Maninfide ring whose meaning is "hands in faith" has long represented the typical Sardinian engagement ring. The two hands coming together to clasp the heart symbolizes the promise of union between the bride and groom-to-be. According to this ancient tradition, the ring was given by the man who received a knife with a mouflon horn handle in return.
